At home I haven't "upgraded", and I doubt I will anytime soon.
We're already using it at work and my experience with it hasn't been too great.
This is one of the worst operating systems I've ever used.
Not because I don't like the new features or updated looks, but because it is so horribly bugged.
Lion is Apple's Vista, and I'm waiting for a service pack to set things right.

I'm not talking about stability issues, just plain old bugs.
E.g. I click on the Finder icon and it takes me back to the desktop with the last used Finder window.
I do the same a couple of minutes later and it takes me to some random desktop with a finder window I last used like a day ago.
Or the quick preview. When switching between desktops it remains open like half of the time.
And when you go back it will preview some other file, that you did not select.
And I hate them for changing the multitouch gestures.
Now my Magic Mouse doesn't work in Chrome anymore.
Well, it does again, but now I can't switch desktops with gestures anymore.
Seriously, this is the buggiest version of OSX ever. Especially the multi-desktop feature, though a nice addition, is light years away from being usable.

My guess is they were trying to push some of the features that weren't used so much in leopard, like Expose, towards the everyday mac user as opposed to people who really know their way around. Problem is some of these features weren't such great ideas in the first place, and they weren't made any better in Lion.
The other reason is they're trying to bridge the gap between desktop and mobile operating systems, but this should be done by designing for the big screen and then scaling down, not the other way around.
Now that Jobs resigned who knows where the OS will go anyway.
